Stay Loving, Stay Connected in a Fast-Moving World
We live in a world that moves at the speed of a swipe.
Shorts, reels, memes and quick videos have become a part of our everyday lives. Within seconds, we laugh, react, scroll and move on to the next thing. Technology has given us wonderful ways to communicate and connect—but somewhere in this race for speed, are we slowly losing the joy of feeling deeply?
There was a time when we sat quietly with a book, turned its pages and allowed ourselves to enter another world. A poem could stay in our minds for days. A beautiful story could make us smile, cry, dream or remember someone we loved. Words were not simply consumed—they were felt.
Books taught us patience. Stories awakened our imagination. Poems gave words to emotions we sometimes could not express ourselves. A handwritten thought or a meaningful paragraph invited us to stop and reflect.
Today, much of what we see is designed to be understood in seconds. We watch, smile and swipe. Before one emotion has had time to settle in our hearts, another image appears on the screen.
There is nothing wrong with enjoying technology, reels or memes. They bring entertainment, creativity and connection into our lives. But perhaps we should not allow the quickness of technology to replace the depth of human emotion.
Let children discover the pleasure of finishing a story. Let them imagine characters instead of always watching them on a screen. Let them read poems aloud, write their own little thoughts and experience the magic hidden between the pages of a book.
And as adults, let us do the same.
Put the phone aside sometimes. Read a few pages. Write a letter. Tell a story. Listen to someone without looking at a screen. Sit with the people you love and create memories that do not need to become a reel.
Technology will continue to move faster—and we should move forward with it. But our hearts do not have to move at the same speed.
Read slowly. Feel deeply. Love generously.
In this fast-moving digital world, let us never lose the beautiful human ability to connect through words, stories and emotions.
Stay loving. Stay reading. Stay connected—from the heart.
